HOW DO I CONTACT THE CLINIC DOCTORS I HAVE SEEN ?

Please call on 9190 5380, Option 1 and leave a message for your doctor. We will return your call at the earliest available opportunity.
 

When does the clinic run?

We currently offer appointments on most days of the week that our specialists consult. Contact our rooms for further up to date information. There can be a wait time of up to two months

how much will this cost?

We charge a private consultation fee for initial visits which will be eligble for a medicare rebate. The gap on the first visit will be a maximum of $75. Follow up consultations will be bulk billed.

DVT / PE

I’ve just had a DVT or PE. Can I still drive?

The Australian Medical Fitness to Drive standards recommend not driving for two weeks after a DVT, and six weeks after a PE, for both private and commercial drivers.

I’ve just had a DVT or PE. When can I fly?

International guidelines generally suggest no flying for four weeks after a DVT or PE.
 

can I drive on anticoagulants?

After the recommended non-driving periods above, private vehicle license holders can drive without restriction, as long as their anticoagulant is appropriately managed. Commercial drivers may drive only with a conditional licence.

When can I return to exercise after my DVT/PE?

There are numerous aspects to this, and a personalised recommendation can be obtained at your appointment. In general, we would suggest caution for at least 4 weeks after starting anticoagulants. Contact sports, martial arts, and other high impact or high risk activities should not be performed on anticoagulants.
